Modular basic version PSIsaso/DSO offers simplified network condition analysis

Berlin, May 10, 2021 - Stadtnetze Münster GmbH has commissioned PSI Software AG to implement the Redispatch 2.0 basic variant of the modularly expandable software solution PSIsaso/DSO. This enables Stadtnetze Münster to create a simplified network condition analysis, implement the requirements of the upstream network operator and participate in the regulatory redispatch regime without having to operate the system effort required for a full implementation.

Stadtnetze Münster is already successfully using a PSI network control system, to which the new Redispatch 2.0 solution will be closely linked. PSIsaso/DSO operates independently of the control system and also requires only a minimum of data maintenance. Due to the modular structure, expandability to meet future requirements is possible without any problems.

In addition to the maintenance and required hardware, the scope of delivery includes the powerful communication module PCOM+ and the forecasting solution PSIforecast for the creation of spatial and temporal high-resolution and precise power forecasts.

Because they are less affected, Stadtnetze Münster benefits from the lean and cost-effective basic variant of the PSI solution. If required, extended functions such as network condition forecasting or the optimal selection and dimensioning of measures can be activated and additional demand adjustments implemented.

As a subsidiary of the Stadtwerke Münster GmbH, as the responsible network operator the Stadtnetze Münster GmbH builds and operates the local energy supply networks for electricity, natural gas, district heating and the water network.

The PSI Group develops its own software products for optimizing the flow of energy and materials for utilities (energy grids, energy trading, public transport) and industry (metals production, automotive, mechanical engineering, logistics). PSI was founded in 1969 and employs more than 2,000 people worldwide.
