PSI among Europe's Climate Leaders according to Financial Times

Berlin, June 20, 2022 - The Financial Times has analyzed the PSI Group in a study conducted together with the data portal Statista and included it in the list of leading European companies in climate protection "Europe's Climate Leaders 2022". The report, published in the Financial Times in May, recognizes the commitment of companies to reducing their greenhouse gas emissions in the period from 2015 to 2020. Several thousand companies were evaluated, among which PSI was honored as one of only 25 technology companies.

For the ranking, companies based in one of 33 European countries and with sales of at least 40 million euros were invited to report their emissions and sales data to Statista and the Financial Times. In addition, Statista evaluated publicly available data from nearly 4,000 companies, also taking into account the CDP database. In particular, the annual reduction in emissions intensity in the period 2015 to 2020 was evaluated, taking into account only emissions data reported in accordance with the Greenhouse Gas Protocol's classification into scopes.

For PSI, social responsibility and sustainability in customer projects and in own processes have been of particular importance since the company was founded in 1969. PSI supports the sustainable development goals of the United Nations and contributes significantly to the careful and sustainable use of energy, raw materials and labor in the energy, production and transport sectors with advanced software products. Since 2011, PSI has reported emissions data to the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) and consistently pursues the goal of avoiding CO2 emissions and supporting customers in achieving their emission targets.
