PSI presents network control solutions at the CIGRÉ 2016 in Paris

Mastering the Energy Transition with PSI efficient and innovative solutions

Berlin, 19 July 2016 - The PSI business unit Electrical Energy is presenting from 22 to 26 August 2016 at the CIGRÉ in Paris, the world's leading conference for utilities, (Stand 232) the current high-end software solutions in the areas of network control technology, workforce management, network utilisation management and smart technology for smart grids.

The latest product releases of the control system PSIcontrol, the workforce management system PSIcommand and the grid utilisation management PSIpassage will be presented as well as examples out of recent projects in the transmission and distribution networks. The new system component “Security Assessment and System Optimization” (SASO) allows the dispatcher a concentrated assessment of the network status and offers suggestions for the correction of current or expected disturbance situations. PSIcommand supports the central and local personnel in the maintenance, construction and emergency processes.

In addition, the Smart Telecontrol Unit (STU), an intelligent process interfacing component, which contains all local control functions needed for the management of smart grids, will be shown. Furthermore, PSI demonstrates control functions which are successfully in operation in customer projects, e. g. congestion management and re-dispatch. These topics will be demonstrated in regular daily presentations on the PSI stand.

On the basis of its own software products, PSI AG develops and integrates complete solutions for energy management (gas, oil, electricity, heat, energy trading), production management (mining, metals, automotive, mechanical engineering, logistics) and infrastructure management for transport and safety. PSI was founded in 1969 and employs 1,650 persons worldwide.
